Pre-K

  • Welcome to Roosevelt School Pre-K, where we implement The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool. Creative Curriculum is a center-based learning program that promotes critical thinking skills and hands-on learning. Throughout the day, the students are constantly prompted by learning opportunities that promote independence and problem-solving skills. We build students’ phonological awareness through early literacy activities such as read-alouds and writing. We demonstrate number concepts and operations as well as letter recognition and letter sounds. In our Pre-K classroom, the students are constantly using their fine and gross motor skills.

We understand that each child in our classroom is a unique individual. We use a variety of strategies and educational technology to give each student what they need for a successful classroom experience. Our friends in Pre-K are learning to create and sustain positive social skills with their teachers and peers. Our classroom is an environment where students can feel welcome and create a positive connection to learning and education.
