About Us

  • Columbus school offers a supportive, yet challenging, child-centered learning environment where the faculty and staff combine their efforts to make each day unique and rewarding for students.  Through a collaborative effort, parents, teachers and the administration work together by providing the students of Columbus School the skills necessary to be responsible citizens in the dynamic global society of the 21st century.

As teachers design lessons and select the activities and resources to support the concepts, they keep the individual needs of their students in mind.  We strive for an atmosphere where our students, staff and parents feel proud and committed to supporting each other.  Our goal is to teach students to read and think critically, solve problems, and communicate effectively.  We are very proud of the many educational, technological and support services that are provided to the students of Columbus School.

We believe in the potential of all students to succeed and our goal is to encourage them to achieve in spite of all obstacles that come their way.  The challenges of young people today are greater than ever before, which in turn places greater responsibility on schools and educational institutions.  We at Columbus School are prepared to meet those challenges and give our students the skills necessary for future endeavors and success.  We strive to provide and maintain a stimulating academic atmosphere in which all students can be successful.

We believe it is our responsibility to prepare the child for the educational, social and physical challenges they will face in their middle school and high school years.  We encourage and value your on-going participation and involvement in the educational experience of your child. We strive to make Columbus School a place where your voice is heard.  If you have thoughts and ideas you would like to share, we would love to hear about them.
